Reignite Your Creativity & Inner Joy

Did you grow up believing you weren’t creative? That making art wasn’t for you? Do you admire others creating but think, “I can’t”?

I can tell you, that’s simply not true!

Many of us carry creativity wounds—limiting beliefs that make us feel disconnected from artistic expression. But deep inside, we all have creative parts waiting to play. Remember when you were a child, drawing, coloring, and creating just for fun? You knew something essential: making stuff is fun!

You CAN reconnect with that joy. Join me for two immersive days where you’ll rediscover your creativity, embrace play, and experience the transformative power of Internal Family Systems (IFS) and expressive arts.

What happens in the two days?

Meet some parts: Everyone has an Inner Critic that shows up. Learn how to relate to this part (hint: it’s trying to help you)

Practice nervous-system-calming-skills that truly soothe: Guided Meditation. EFT Tapping. Journaling.

Make Some Art: As you unblend from your chatty Inner Critic, you’ll connect with your own creativity and harness its wisdom, and find joy in creativity!

Two days of being immersed in your wellbeing
No artistic experience needed—just an open heart
A playful, supportive space to explore your creativity
Guidance from IFS-trained therapist & expressive arts facilitator
Art supplies, journals, stickers, & snacks provided
Leave with your own meaningful creation—a reminder of your joy

Meet Your Host

Heidi Behr, LCSW - an IFS-trained therapist and creative

I believed I couldn’t make art for decades. It was a sore spot in me.  My “I can’t make art Part” kept me away from art supply stores because it felt too awkward to be in there. I wished I had a hobby like making art that let me feel comfortable to “just play around” but it eluded me till I was 49 years old.

Twelve years ago that all changed, when attending my first art workshop and discovered I indeed had creative parts that yearned to play, and loved learning how to “do stuff” with art supplies. It was SO FUN! This is the experience you get at this workshop— full permission to tune in and play with your creative parts.

Become so wrapped up in play that you forget to be afraid!   No previous experience needed. None!

I’ve spent years teaching about how to access your well-being, and it’s especially satisfying combined with making art. You’’ll enjoy this journey of self-discovery, healing, and play. Come let your inner artist out & discover the joy of your creativity.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Absolutely not! This is for beginners and experienced creatives alike. If you can hold a paintbrush (or even if you can't!) you can do this.

  • There's no such thing here. This isn't about making "good" art—it's about the experience of creating. Your inner critic will try to tell you otherwise, and we'll help you work with that part.

  • Whatever calls to you! Paint, collage, mixed media, writing, movement. You'll leave with at least one piece that's meaningful to you. Probably 2 or 3!

  •  It's therapeutic but not therapy. We’ll use IFS concepts and creative expression in a workshop setting. It's experiential learning through play.

  • The workshop is designed as a complete 2-day experience. Please attend both days for the full transformation. Your presence is a gift to yourself and others.

  • I keep groups small (typically 10-15 people) to maintain intimacy and ensure everyone gets support.

TESTIMONIALS

What Clients Are Saying

  • - Nancy, retired nurse

I loved the time spent on pondering where I was going to go with the collage after your great demonstrations. I loved looking at all the options provided and thinking of my intention for the day and the project! It really encouraged me do some personal reflection in a peaceful environment and gave me a very cool and different way to express my feelings!

  • - Jenny, Teacher

It was a beautiful and supportive space where we could gather, share and create. Because I'd already been doing some parts work and was 'getting to know' some of my parts (fear, trust/faith, etc) I had some clear ideas of where I wanted to go with my canvas. Please know: I am NEW to paint and I loved using it.

  • Jessie, Business owner

I loved being the art workshop. It gave me an opportunity to withhold judgement of myself and let go of perfectionism.  It also allowed me to interact with so many wonderful women in a safe environment and share challenges and knowledge together,

  • Wendy, entrepreneur

Since attending the art weekend I have been less critical of myself and of others. I have been a better listener. I have continued with art and journaling more so than in the past. I better know how to adjust and calm myself when old anxieties creep in.

  • Debbie, professional artist

I really did love it all. But I found the group sharing (in the circle and in our group review of work) to be so powerful and life-giving. I was blown away by this group of women. It was really like a treasure chest.
