IFS therapy is life changing
When I took my first IFS (Internal Family Systems) Therapy training, I was immediately hooked! I’d finally found a therapy model that prioritized our connection to Something Greater than Ourselves. This is how healing happens.
A few months later I attended a one week IFS retreat in Costa Rica with Richard Schwartz, the founder of IFS. For me, that week was life-changing! I got to practice connecting to my parts with the awareness of my Self Energy (the Something Greater than Ourselves energy). When I got back from Costa Rica, I was able to enroll in IFS Level 1 training just a few months later.
Now I’ve been through the complete Level 1 & Level 2 trainings and have received additional supervision on this incredible model which helps us heal from anything. I use IFS in my life and in my practice daily and my clients love it. I see everyday how they are healing from all kinds of trauma and old hurts.
When we each learn to connect with our own Self Energy and relate compassionately to our parts, things change and we feel SO MUCH BETTER. I love teaching how to do this to my clients. Once you get an understanding that parts are trying to protect you and that they often carry burdens, you start to interact differently with yourself and others. Curiosity enters your system, as does compassion. This is when things change for the better.
IFS enhances our relationship to our Self Energy. Self Energy helps us realize all our parts matter, your angry part, your scared parts, your anxious or bossy parts matter as much as your loving parts, your funny parts, your strong and capable parts. All of you matters. All of you is worthy of love and understanding. The parts that hurt can be healed and it is my honor to help guide you in your healing.
